So I recently read the book “Go for No” and absolutely love it because I got some really great takes away from it. So I wanted to share with you a few of my favorites.
The key message of the book is that “Yes” is the destination and “No” is how you get there. In order to be successful in sales, online marketing, internet marketing, etc., you have to get as many no’s as possible. So I wanted to share my 5 key take aways from the book and why you want to be going for no.
Take Your Business to the Next Level
If you’re really serious about creating success in your network marketing business, there might be one tool that you might be missing, as do many network marketers. The personal development and lead generation aspects of growing a network marketing business are often missing because they are not typically taught by companies. Most network marketers are doing a lot of hard work, but they forget or aren’t educated on how to create leverage – having people come to YOU asking about your business.

Why You Should Go For NO – Book Review
1. It Demonstrate That You Are Taking More Action
If you recently watched my video on “4 Reasons You’re Not Consistent in Your Business”, I talked about changing your expectation of outcome to be expectation of ACTION. You want everything to be focused around action. So if you are getting more “No’s” that means you are taking more action within your business.
2. It Creates Momentum
If you think about sales, typically people set sales goals based on number of product sold or number of people joining your business for example. These are positive success goals. If you set a goal to have 10 sales this week, what happens when you hit your sales goals? You’re probably going to stop or taper off because you hit your goals. However if you have sales goals based on the number of “No’s” then you are continue to keep yourself moving.
Let’s say you have a goal of 20 No’s per month and by the time you got to 10 No’s, you already had 2 sales (which was your sales goal) well you aren’t done yet. You still have another 10 No’s to go. So you might get another 2-3 sales on your way there which is way beyond your sales goal of 2 sales. By setting up your “No” goals, it’s going to continue moving you along.
Have you heard of someone who is on fire or on a hot streak? What do they want to do? Keep moving along and riding the momentum.
3. It’s Part of the “Yes” Process
I think that sometimes people think of failure and success as complete opposites. They think that you either move backwards towards failure or they move forward towards success. But what the book really hits home that “No” is just a stop on your journey to “Yes”. This means that you will actually have to go through “No” in order to get to your destination and be successful. So being that we know that “No” is here to stay, you really want to start shifting your mindset to think of “No” as a positive thing and not negative. You want to reward yourself for getting “No’s”. This is going to start pushing your towards success.
