If you’re really serious about creating success in your network marketing business, there might be one tool that you might be missing, as do many network marketers.  The personal development and lead generation aspects of growing a network marketing business are often  missing because they are not typically taught by companies. Most network marketers are doing a lot of hard work, but they forget or aren’t educated on how to create leverage – having people come to YOU asking about your business.

1. Blogging

If you aren’t familiar with blogging, essentially it’s your own website where you can create content. The nice thing about blogging is that it’s the only place on the internet that you own 100%. If you think about Facebook for example, you don’t own that content. If Facebook were to disappear tomorrow (which would be terrible), all of your content would be gone. All of your posts would be gone because you don’t own it. So the nice think about a blog is that you have full control over it.

Blogging is a skill that you need to learn which I will share in future trainings. But once you figure it out, it’s really a great platform to be able to share your content. It addition, because it 100% yours, people won’t get distracted by ads or other things that they might if they were on Facebook.

2. Facebook Live

I know, I know, it’s so scary!!! I get it! It is definitely intimidating at first. It’s one of those things that if you look at the direction of the market this year in 2017, Facebook is specifically promoting live videos. It’s going to have a better chance of showing up in cold market prospects news feeds. Videos are one of the most engaging types of content that you can put out on the market. So if you have an online business and are not using Facebook lives, you are missing out on a huge opportunity.

I know I get it it can be scary! But you need to learn how to get over the fear because the benefit is absolutely huge!

When you are doing Facebook lives, you want to make sure you are ALWAYS giving a call to action. Maybe that’s to get a free resource from your blog, Like your Fan Page, message you for more information, etc. It’s a great way to ask cold prospects if the are interested in what you have to offer and getting them to actually reach out to YOU instead, if they are interested.

Initially, your Facebook Lives will not get in front of a lot of cold market prospects. If you are growing your friends list everyday, you will continue to grow your audience and cold market prospects who are interested in what you have to offer. So eventually you will get more and more people in front of your Facebook lives as your audience shares it with their own audience. So Facebook lives are an amazing way to connect with more cold market prospects.

3. Sharing Images with a Call to Action

People love inspirational quotes,  lifestyle picture, and Facebook profile picture updates. They really want to get to know you. So if you share a profile picture update, you could add a status update to it that says “Just finished recording my first free webinar, if you want to check it out, let me know”. It can be as simple as a picture post with some text and a call to action. With both of these, I would warn you that you don’t want to be including any links in the status updates. Facebook does not want people leaving the platform. So if you have a link to your business, service, opportunity, or product, it just won’t get put in front of many people on Facebook. However, one thing that you can do is post it in the comments section of your post or live video.
